about

Around 2007 I was ready to pack it in when our friend and long time collaborating partner, Mark Taormina, asked Joe and me to help him record a concept album. There was, supposedly, major label interest. Joe jumped at it. I cautiously stuck my tow in the water. In the beginning, things looked very promising. Joe Moved to Athens and was given a salary to work on cover art. I think that this is some of his finest work. Mark had a heavy hand in it's direction and pushed Joe to deliver. I didn't move to Athens. I would commute back and forth from Atlanta. While Joe pushed to have his music included, I suggested a couple tunes that were not used. It didn't upset me too much because I was writing a personal album and I really liked the focus of Mark's concept.

As things progressed, the situation became less and less stable. The backing dropped out. Eventually the whole project soured, although the three of us remain friends to this day and it never affected out opinions of each other. I would spend the next few years focusing on making freelancing a career while performing with acts such as Spaceseed, Zentropy and Jeremy Aggers. Analog was the last project that I worked with Mark on. Joe and I have worked on each other's projects from time to time.

While we wrote an album's worth of material, these are the only songs that were recorded.
